Chemical Peels

What are Chemical Peels?
The Synergie Professional Peel treatments are designed to reduce the appearance of irregularities on the skin’s surface and reveal a smooth, revitalized texture through regenerating and resurfacing the skin. They remove the top layers of the skin, help to stimulate collagen remodelling, reduce tonal discoloration, improve skin texture and hydration, reduce congestion and improve the overall appearance of the skin.

Various strengths and types of chemical peels are available, it is recommended to have lighter peels over 3 months rather than one aggressive peel that may cause severe damage to the skin. An in-depth skin consultation is necessary to ensure the appropriate peel treatment is selected for your specific skin concerns. A minimum course of 4-8 peel treatments is recommended for optimal results, depending on your skin requirements.

Chemical peels are NOT suitable for those who have been on Roaccutane in the last 6 months, have open wounds, infections, rosacea, psoriasis or dermatitis in the area to be treated. Olive and darker skin clients are required to prep their skin on our recommended tyrosinase inhibiting serum for 2 weeks prior to having a chemical peel performed.

Post Care Information

Post treatment your skin will be slightly flushed. We recommend that makeup is not applied on the skin for 12 hours afterwards. Depending on the type of peel done you may experience very mild through to moderate skin shedding from day 2-7. We advise that you do not prematurely pick at or exfoliate the dead skin as this may cause scarring or post-inflammatory pigmentation. Once the skin peeling is complete you will see a dramatic improvement in your skin’s complexion. Over the next four to six weeks the skin’s appearance will be enhanced further. The skin will look more vibrant, clearer, firmer, and healthier.
